Heerlijke Bourgogne Rouge met duidelijke Gevrey karakteristiek (aardse tonen en een zekere kruidigheid), maar met een heerlijk verleidelijk fruit dat zo typerend is voor de jaargang 2009. Een zeer geslaagd glas Bourgogne voor een bijzonder vriendelijke prijs.

Fantastische Saint-Aubin villages. Op het niveau van menig premier cru. Smaakt nu al heerlijk. "The Banc has a sophisticated perfume of pear and white flowers, which slides seamlessly into balanced Chardonnay fruit wrapped around a firm core of ripe acidity; a terrific first-class St Aubin village."

Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Sous Frétille, Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey 2010
Pierre-Yves maakt jaarlijks slechts 600 flessen van deze wijn die exclusief worden aangeboden door de Engelse importeur en Topbourgognes.nl. De wijn kenmerkt zich door een bouquet van witte bloesem en tonen van citrus. In de smaak een mooie vulling, spanning en een opmerkelijke lengte. Wellicht laat de wijn zich het best omschrijven als een kleine Corton-Charlemagne.

Gevrey-Chambertin, La Gibryotte, Famille Claude Dugat 2009
Intens rode kleur. In het bouquet tonen van bessen, leer, kruiden en een vleugje hout. De wijn bezit duidelijk de Dugat signatuur (maar is ten opzichte van de domaine-wijn minder geconcentreerd). Naast het fraaie fruit bezit de wijn een mooie frisheid en fijne tannines. Een heerlijke en zeer geslaagde Gevrey-Chambertin.

Meursault "Tessons", Buisson-Charles 2009
Burghound: "(from vines planted in 1964 and aged in 20% new wood). This offers a small step up in aromatic complexity with notes of pear, white peach, green apple and wet stone nuances. There is fine volume and concentration to the rich, round and amply powerful flavors that are fresh and vibrant while culminating in a superbly persistent finish. This is not as opulent as the straight Meursault but there is more here. A knockout villages and this is definitely highly recommended for its level. 91/2014+"
