Morgon Vieilles Vignes, Daniel Bouland 2009
Ik heb de wijn enkele weken geleden op het domein geproefd maar heb wegens tijdgebrek geen proefnotitie kunnen maken. Daarom plaats ik de notitie uit The Wine Advocate van de jaargang 2008. U dient er echter rekening mee te houden dat de jaargang 2009 van een heel ander kaliber is! The Wine Advocate: “The Bouland 2008 Morgon Vieilles Vignes exhibits a focus and grip rare in Beaujolais from this or for that matter any vintage. Concentrated, brightly fresh blackberry and blueberry tinged with salt, chalk, and citrus oil, and underlain by deep, smoky roast meatiness characterize this wine of palpable extract. While seamlessly, richly ripe and 13% in natural alcohol, it nevertheless comes off as lithe and lively, with a peony-like floral perfume wafting all the way through to a gloriously persistent, lip-smacking, soul-satisfying finish. 93 points” .

Vouvray sec Clos du Bourg, Domaine Huet 2009
De wijngaard Le Clos du Bourg ligt op de helling direct achter de kerk van Vouvray. De bodem bestaat uit kalkrots en de stokken hebben een gemiddelde leeftijd van 40 jaar. Fraai bouquet met tonen van o.a. mango. Zeer gestructureerde en complexe smaak. De fraaie zuren geven de wijn een fraai evenwicht. Indrukwekkende finale met veel mineraliteit.

Bourgogne Rouge Vieilles Vignes, Perrot-Minot 2008
Christophe Perrot-Minot maakt een tweetal Bourgogne Rouges. Deze cuvée Vieilles Vignes (= oude stokken) is afkomstig van een wijngaard binnen Morey-Saint-Denis. Indrukwekkende Bourgogne Rouge die nu nog wat tijd vraagt. Kwalitatief op het niveau van een “villages” wijn. Burgoholic: “ (from a vineyard in Morey-Saint-Denis) Purple colour. A bit animal on the nose (reduction). Very pure, intense. Fraicheur. Very spicy, peppery finish. Good lenght. Very good for a Bourgogne tout court”.

Sarah Marsh: "This is a blend of young vines from Puligny and older vines from Meursault.Straightforward, but hugely attractive on the pristine nose with minerally, citrussy fruit. Actually, on the palate this is surprisingly elegant and poised for this level. The texture is refined and silky and the fruit is understated, but intense. Pretty long and sweetly mineral on the finish. Excellent". Bourgogne. From 2009/10.

Grootse moelleux gemaakt van door pourriture noble (edelrot) aangetaste druiven en ingedroogde druifjes die tijdens verschillende plukgangen werden geselecteerd. In het bouquet o.a. tonen van wilde perzik. Rijke, weelderige smaak met fraaie zuren. Lang en bijzonder complex. Een grootse wijn. Een fantastische wijn om op zichzelf te drinken maar natuurlijk ook als aperitief of bij ganzenlever.

The Wine Advocate: “The 2002 Brut Tete de Cuvee Fiacre is simply fantastic. The wine seems to capture a beautiful middle ground between the older and new styles at the house. The Cuvee Fiacre shows remarkable richness and depth while remaining light on its feet. Wild flowers, menthol and anise are some of the nuances that linger on the supremely graceful finish. The Cuvee Fiacre is an old-vines coeur du cuvee pressing, 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir. Dosage is 8 grams. As one might reasonably expect, it comes across as a bit weightier than the 2002 Millesime. This is magnificent Champagne. 2011-2022”.
