Bourgogne Aligoté, Denis Bachelet 2008
Denis Bachelet maakt een heel klein beetje Bourgogne Aligoté die opvallend goed van kwaliteit is. Een heerlijk glas voor een uiterst bescheiden prijs. Serveer de wijn bij charcuterie en natuurlijk bij de jambon persillé.

Bourgogne Aligoté, Benoit Ente 2009
Absoluut een fantastische wijn met een onverslaanbare prijs/kwaliteitsverhouding. Ente maakt als één der weinigen (Coche-Dury, Lalou Bize Leroy, Ponsot) een grootse Aligoté en behandelt deze druif met een zelfde zorg en toewijding als zijn kostbare premier crus. Het is belangrijk om de rendementen heel laag te houden daarom snoeit hij zijn Aligoté-stokken in Gordon Royat en plukt hij de druiven als ze werkelijk rijp zijn. Daarnaast krijgt de wijn een zelfde opvoeding als zijn Puligny-wijnen, op kleine houten vaatjes die jaarlijks voor 30% vernieuwd worden. 2009 is een grote jaargang voor Aligoté.

Voortreffelijke witte Bourgogne op het niveau van menig village. Burghound over de 2008 (de 2009 is naar mijn mening zelfs een niveau beter: “A ripe and equally expressive nose of floral and citrus aromas merges into round, nicely rich and beautifully detailed flavors that possess good intensity on the citrus-infused and dry finish that is persistent and well-balanced. Very good quality for its level. Outstanding Top Value!”.

Saint-Véran "Les Pommards", Robert-Dénogent 2008
De akker “Les Pommards”, wordt door velen als de beste akker van de appellation beschouwd. De gemiddeld 50 jaar oude stokken geven een wijn die zich kan meten met een absolute top Pouilly-Fuissé. Burghound: “Here too gentle wood notes are not strong enough to really detract from the slightly riper spiced yellow orchard fruit aromas that complement the succulent and textured yet tight medium-bodied flavors that possess outstanding fruit/acid balance and excellent length. It's rare to find St. Véran of this caliber. Outstanding!”

Fantastische Saint-Aubin villages. Op het niveau van menig premier cru. Smaakt nu al heerlijk. "The Banc has a sophisticated perfume of pear and white flowers, which slides seamlessly into balanced Chardonnay fruit wrapped around a firm core of ripe acidity; a terrific first-class St Aubin village."

Bourgogne Aligoté, Arnaud Ente 2009
This very old vine example of Aligoté is my nomination for the finest made in all of Burgundy these days, as I have to give it a slight nod over the beautiful version also produced by Jean-François Coche. The 2009 is a lovely bottle, as it offers up a complex and vibrant nose of lemon, apple, a gentle touch of leesiness and a beautiful base of minerality. On the palate the wine is fullish, complex and snappy, with the generosity of 2009 evident on the attack, but with outstanding backend grip and cut. A really superb bottle of Aligoté. 2010-2025. 89. Michel Bettane: “Tension minérale irrésistance, proche de l’aligoté ideal, fin de bouche raffinée, vraiment étonnante.”

Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Sous Frétille, Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey 2010
Pierre-Yves maakt jaarlijks slechts 600 flessen van deze wijn die exclusief worden aangeboden door de Engelse importeur en Topbourgognes.nl. De wijn kenmerkt zich door een bouquet van witte bloesem en tonen van citrus. In de smaak een mooie vulling, spanning en een opmerkelijke lengte. Wellicht laat de wijn zich het best omschrijven als een kleine Corton-Charlemagne.
